Year 9 Brilliant Club students visited King's College University in London to celebrate their achievements and graduate from the Brilliant Club. Well done!

Year 10 had an action packed Enrichment Day, including a powerful presentation about county lines by Leo Powell and a carousel of Life Skills workshops by visitors from Impressionable Minds
Year 12 once again enjoyed a fantastic day with Talk the Talk, completing the Talk About the Future course. This excellent one day workshop is a great confident builder and prepares students for interviews and public speaking.
Year 11 welcomed ASK Apprenticeships for an assembly which outlined the many apprenticeships currently available to students. It was a great overview of the many options.
Year 9 and 10 had a fascinating overview of the courses and opportunities available at the Capital City College Group. Students were engaged to hear of the range of local provision.
Year 8 had a great day at Colchester Zoo.As well as enjoying animal encounters, they also took part in a careers workshop on careers linked to animals. 8LD won the competition to see as many different jobs as they could at the zoo, spotting 30 different roles!
Year 7 welcomed Paul Marijetic, Director of Apprenticeships for an insightful assembly during Careers Week. He talked about the huge number of NHS people and jobs involved when someone breaks a leg. Did you know that the NHS is the 6th biggest employer in the world?
Lucky Chace: Master griller, world steak judge and owner of OK13, Argentinian chef Fernando took time out the day before his new restaurant launch to share his expertise in the kitchen making empanadas. Even Miss Douglas had a go. #Excellencehasnolimits
Congratulations to 9YOZ, our winners of the First Give project where Year 9 form classes gave presentations to highlight the work they have done raising awareness and funds for their chosen charity.
