As part of the assessment requirements for the Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Business, students are required to organise an event, so that they can appreciate and develop the qualities of an effective event planner.  They must carry out necessary tasks and display the skills that are required to successfully plan, execute and evaluate a trip that is feasible and appropriate for a specific target market.
