Single-sex education?

The Year 8 inter-form debate competition was won by 8MNAT. Two representatives from 8MNAT put forward a strong debate for ‘Single-sex education’ being the best option for our educational success! They researched and planned their debate well and put forward convincing arguments to represent this viewpoint (despite their actual views on the subject).

Mayor’s debate award 2017

Our talented and brave Year 8 and 9 students faced seven other Enfield schools in the finals of the Mayor’s Debate Award. It was a fierce competition and our students strongly debated the issues of capital punishment and political leadership. Though we were not winners this year, they certainly represented Chace in an outstanding way showing confidence and courage.

Brilliant Club – the Doctors of tomorrow

Year 8 and 9 pupils involved in ‘Brilliant Club’ had a taste of the life of a university medical student when they attended lectures and seminars at the Guys Hospital campus of Kings College London.

Students were challenged and stretched throughout the day and clearly thrived under the pressure. The tutor working with them was very impressed with the quality of their work and attitude to learning.

A brilliant effort all round!

In the net!

Our Year 8 and Year 10 Netballers both won their first matches of the season against Heron Hall with two fantastic wins, 8-0 and 16-1. Congratulations to both and here’s to a great start and hopefully the beginning of a winning streak!
