We will be taking the year 13 Physics students to the Joint European Torus (JET), located at Culham Centre for Fusion Energy in Oxfordshire on Thursday 4^th October 2018.  This is the world’s largest and most powerful Tokamak and the focal point of the European fusion research programme; designed to study fusion in conditions approaching those needed for a power plant. This is a rare opportunity for students to visit such a site and will greatly enhance their understanding of the Nuclear Physics and Radioactivity part of the Physics A level Curriculum.
