We could have nominated so many amazing students. However our “Holler hero” is a fantastic young man, who has gone out of his way to show kindness and empathy towards one of his peers, to help them settle and enjoy school.

Massive thanks to Nitin Gunatra and the team from Holler for helping organise an inspirational talk from an amazing actor. He shared his story of overcoming adversity from when he was at school himself. We hope year 7 took something very special away to help them be the best they can be!’

Our Year 7 Chace students had a wonderful time at Tolmers Campsite this weekend taking part in some great activities and learning to work together as a team. Thank you to all 36 members of staff who gave up their time to support.

We had a fantastic session with all the Year 7 in their first Enrichment Monday (P7) this week with Lucy Rogers, a 1st Class Masters Graduate from Cambridge University. Students learnt the importance of working hard and never giving up on their dreams!

Our new sports area were opened this week for Chace students to excel at tennis, basketball and netball. Thank you to the Chace Association, our PTA for helping to raise the funds for the work.

After a long summer break, it was wonderful to see the school buzzing again as we welcomed our new Year 7 students. They were involved with treasure hunting, creating heritage quilts and bunting and other induction activities. An enthusiastic and incredibly positive start. Next stop, Tolmers!

Congratulations to this talented Year 11 student who achieved nine grade 9s and an A* in her GCSEs. One of only 827 students in the UK!
