Chace Community School is seeking to appoint an experienced, inspirational and dynamic Deputy Headteacher who will support the Head Teacher in leading Chace Community School to realise it’s motto of ‘Excellence has no limits’.  The successful candidate will be passionate about children’s learning and committed to ensuring no child is limited by their background, but that all are inspired to progress beyond their potential and empowered to be the leaders of tomorrow.

This is an exciting time to join our community.  The school is taking ‘effective action’ (Ofsted 2019, 2020 and 2021) to secure its next Good Ofsted judgement, and has recently appointed a new Headteacher, who alongside the governing body, are working to ensure that excellence is at the heart of everything we do.  The school has recently co-created a new school vision, values and motto to inspire excellence and character.  The staff and governing body are genuinely excited about the future of the school and appointing a forward thinking, team player to contribute to it’s rapid school improvement journey.

Following successful application, the job description and wider responsibilities for this role will be finalised based on the strengths and experience of the post holder.

The successful candidate will:

-promote Chace’s values and commitment to excellence, alongside having clear moral purpose.

-work towards the Headteachers’ Standards 2020 and uses them to promote high expectations and hold staff to account.

-have extensive experience of leadership within a school, in particular in improving the quality of education.

-be passionate about improving outcomes for students to ensure all students reach their potential.

-have experience of Safeguarding procedures within a school.

-be an outstanding teacher, with experience leading and improving teaching and learning.

-display a strong commitment to their own professional development and that of the staff body.

-have the vision and skills to support the Headteacher with the school’s journey of continuous improvement.
