Business Studies Department

In Business Studies you will develop knowledge and skills about the world of business.  Students will learn various techniques which develop their understanding of how to interpret & use data when solving business related problems. A broad ranging course that covers a lot of content giving students a well-rounded view of the business world and how it operates.

Business is offered at Chace at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 as option choices.

At Key stage 4, we offer up to date, all new provision to keep abreast of changes in the world of Business. We offer Level 2 NCFE Business and Enterprise. This course is coursework based with students completing 4 units over the 2 year duration. We also offer the new Business Studies 9-1 GCSE in years 10 and 11.

At Key stage 5 we offer three separate courses: The A Level is based around 4 themes with 3 exam papers being sat at the end of year 13. For BTEC, we offer the Extended certificate (equivalent to 1 A Level) and Diploma (equivalent to 2 A Levels) options. These BTEC courses are mainly assessed through coursework units, but also include an examined unit along with a CA (controlled assessment)
