YEAR 7 TOLMERS TRANSITION CAMP

Every year as part of our transition process, we invite all new students to our overnight transition trip. With now over twelve years of experiencing a weekend away with our new year 7, the trip has become an integral part of the culture at Chace. Year by year, the feedback we have received about our transition trip has always been commended and highlighted as a key element in helping students to settle in confidently. The transition trip aims to give students an opportunity to feel part of their year group and to forge new strong relationships in an environment outside the classroom and away from home. All the activities are designed to offer positive engagement and challenge as well as focus on team work. During the trip, students will be taking part in activities such as kayaking, rafting, climbing, archery, orienteering, assault course, night navigation and team building exercises.

'Strapped into a harness and ready for the high ropes course, climbing around the course was so much fun if not a little challenging. Rafting was brilliant if not a little bit wet and the Zombie run in the dark was scary but fantastic! Bundles of fun and team building in a short space of time.'
