A level Media at Channel 4

A Level Media students were invited along to Channel 4 today by a former student now working for the corporation. We had an exciting afternoon meeting Channel 4’s programme commissioner, Film Four’s film developer and an advertising executive from 4Creative, as well as several apprentices in a variety of roles. Students found out about the varied job opportunities available at Channel 4 as well as their apprenticeship programmes and work experience placements. Several students have been inspired to apply for placements and aspirations have been raised for all!

Year 12 Biology Trip

Pre-Public Examinations

Year 11 Chace students have been hard at it this week taking their second set of Pre-Public Examinations to prepare them for their GCSEs in the Summer. Good luck to all the students who have worked so hard to prepare.

Weekly Reflection

The Chace reflection for this week has been The Butterfly Effect. Mr Jones led the assemblies, teaching us all about Chaos Theory in maths and reflecting on how when combined, tiny actions we take to improve our learning can lead to extraordinary outcomes.

Royal Opera House Trip

The Library teamed up with the Music Department to take a group of students to see The Monstrous Child at The Royal Opera House. This trip allowed students to explore the link between literature music and sparked plenty of discussion. Thank you to the students for being so wonderfully behaved and thank you for the members of staff who made this trip a success.
