Working for Experience
Year 10 students have been hard at it, completing a week of work experience this week. Here is one of our students working in a prestigious insurance firm in the Walkie Talkie building.

Jurassic Coast
A very successful and fun learning experience for our Year 12 Geography students, carrying out fieldwork along the Jurassic Coast this weekend.
Chace students bring back haul of medals
On Wednesday 5th July, our aspiring athletes took part in the Enfield borough Athletics championships at Lea Valley AC. The students were an absolute credit to the school and we managed an impressive medal haul. Stand out performances included double gold for Kariyek Dixon (200m & discus), gold for Mia Rosario (400m), gold for Megan Alexander (1500m), and a really impressive run from Badr Boutbaik to earn a silver in the 1500m.
STEM Week
Open to years 7 to 9 from 10th to 14th July, a week of space themed lessons and clubs in Science, Technology and Maths.
Clubs include rocket launching, loud science demonstrations and the mathematics of space flight.

Year 9 Rounders
The year 9 girls rounders team took part in the Borough Rounders Tournament at Winchmore School. With a fantastic attitude from each student they played 5 games, losing only 2 to St. Anne’s and Highlands respectively. They achieved 3rd place with certificates to be given out in their assembly. We are all very proud of these girls due to their passion and attitude to sport. They were placed third, but had the mentality of a team who had won the tournament – a great bunch of girls.
The Army Science Workshop
Year 9 students were recently challenged to design an energy bar suitable for the Army. The students used transferable skills from biology to fulfil their specification.
The event was run by Army officers. The school received positive feedback that the organiser would love to come back for future career events due to the fact that the students were so engaged and involved.
Pretty Muddy
Well done to the female staff team “Chace Ladies” who competed in the Cancer Research Pretty Muddy 5k run in order to raise money for the charity. The ladies raised a total of £972 aswell as having fun rolling around in the mud!

‘DNA’ at the National Youth Theatre
On Tuesday 13th June, Ms Findlay had organised for a group of Year 9 Drama students to see a production of ‘DNA’ at the National Youth Theatre studios in Holloway Road. The show was performed in the round, with some very clever use of lighting and sound to create atmosphere; this has given the students a lot to think about when it comes to their own practical work in Drama lessons!
