DofE Training Day

The sun shines on our Year 10 DofE students during their Expedition Training Day. They spent the day learning how to navigate using a map & compass, pitching & striking tents and cooking a meal using camping stoves.

Hala Madrid 2019!

Hala Madrid 2019! The most exciting and entertaining trip so far! What an incredible five days these students had immersing themselves into the Spanish city of Madrid! Visits included sightseeing at The Santiago Bernabeu Football stadium, The Palacio Real (as seen in the photo) and the famous Plaza de Toros Bullring at Las Ventas where two of our students had the opportunity to become Matadors! ¡Olé!

Year 10 Epping Forest

Year 10 Chace Community students visited the Field Studies Council (FSC) in Epping Forest to complete their physical fieldwork. They had to compare a number of sites along the Loughton Brook River for changes in physical parameters downstream.

Year 10 RE trip to the Synagogue

Year 10 Religious Studies GCSE students visited Belsize Square Synagogue to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day. They took part in a range of workshops, discussions about the events and heard from individuals who had direct experience with the Holocaust.

Drama Trip ‘The Cane’

The Drama department took GCSE and A-Level students to see ‘The Cane’ at the Royal Court Theatre. An exciting new play by Mark Ravenhill that explored how teachers of the past had previously used the cane on students and the lasting effects this had upon them. Students were captivated by the outstanding performances by the three actors and the ever impressive and extending set used.
